BlueLand Farm

We would love to be your local family farmers!

We believe that farming is an essential component of a healthy community. We believe that we are natural stewards of our community’s resources and we take that very seriously. We implement regenerative farming practices whenever possible. We love having open and honest conversations about how we farm and why we do what we do.

We believe farming is a family affair. Meredith and Dan, along with their four young children, work to make BlueLand Farm successful. We are located in southern Frederick County, Maryland. We specialize in raising small, but efficient beef cattle and Bluefaced Leicester sheep on a managed intensive, regenerative grazing system. We also make and sell high-quality grass and alfalfa hay.

Meredith has been raising sheep since she was 8 years old in 4-H and brings her training as a Registered Nurse to the farm. Dan is a 9th-generation Maryland farmer and loves to farm the land in a way that means it is healthy and able to be passed on to the next generation of eager farmers.

“The lamb was amazing, and my dad who’s quite a food critic said it was some of the best lamb he’d had.”
